Stormy Times

Introduction

My fascination with the Bible began when I discovered its ability to foretell future events. One day in 2011, I arrived at work to find two of my staff members engrossed in a YouTube video by a man named Thomas Horn. Horn, who passed away in 2023, was discussing the tenure of Pope Benedict, predicting that his time as pope would be short due to either being killed, removed, or becoming incapacitated. He derived this theory from Revelation chapter 17.

Initially, I dismissed Horn’s predictions, urging them to focus on their work instead of such “nonsense.” However, a few years later, I was astonished when CNN announced Pope Benedict’s resignation. This event, among others, made me realize that the Bible’s potency in predicting future events and influenced my decision to take God and His Word seriously.

Eschatology, the study of the end times, became my passion. I noticed, however, that many people, both believers and non-believers, had little knowledge or interest in this subject. The apathy and disdain for eschatology, even among pastors, was surprising. Consequently, I kept my studies to myself, wary of causing panic or resistance by discussing end times.

Listening to Bible teachers like Irvin Baxter and Thomas Horn made me more aware of the imminent realities. Though these teachers are no longer with us, the events they predicted from scriptures are unfolding rapidly. Join me on this journey with “Stormy Times,” as we unveil the global spirit of chaos present in our world today. This exploration aims to equip us for the coming of the anti-Christ and, ultimately, Christ.

“For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:3-4 KJV

Thus, it is wise to plan as if the Lord will not return for a hundred years but live as if He will return tomorrow.
